Flight Instruction Associate (CFI) – Sanford, Florida

L3Harris Technologies, a trusted disruptor in the defense industry, seeks a highly motivated and experienced Flight Instruction Associate (CFI) to join our team in Sanford, Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive flight training to students, ensuring the highest standards of safety and excellence are maintained throughout the program. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work as required.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver ground and in-flight instruction on aircraft systems, maneuvers, procedures, and other flight-related subjects.
• Conduct thorough pre-flight and post-flight briefings, ensuring student comprehension of training materials.
• Maintain a flight training pass rate of 80% or higher.
• Monitor student progress, ensuring timely completion of training within established flight hour limitations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student training records, in accordance with FAA and L3Harris Flight Academy policies.
• Proactively address training challenges, making recommendations to the Group Manager for corrective action as needed.
• Implement and adhere to all L3Harris Flight Academy and FAA flight training standards and operational procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
