Position Overview
The Specialist Pilot (PIC) will operate aircraft in accordance with FAA, company, and customer directives. This role requires expertise in operating with Night Vision Goggle (NVG) / night vision enhanced devices from remote locations. Collaboration with maintenance personnel to diagnose and rectify aircraft discrepancies is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and effectively operate aircraft under varying conditions, including NVG operations.
- Maintain strict adherence to FAA, company, and customer regulations and procedures.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve aircraft discrepancies.
- Demonstrate adaptability and willingness to undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- US Citizenship with a current US passport.
- Valid State Driver's License.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension).
- Meet all medical deployment standards, including COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
- Eligible to possess firearms.
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Airplane - Multiengine Land rating.
- FAA Instrument Airplane rating.
- Minimum 2,000 hours of total documented flight time.
- Minimum 1,000 hours of total Pilot in Command time.
- Minimum 300 hours of fixed-wing time.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in manned ISR operations, forward air control (FAC), FAC (A), JTAC, airborne sensor operation, or direct air support (fixed or rotary wing).
- NVG experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 200 hours Turboprop time.
- 200 hours of Instrument (actual) time.
- 300 hours of fixed-wing multi-engine time.
- BE300 type rating.
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Active rating for the past three (3) consecutive years.
- Formal or specialized training on assigned aircraft and equipment.
Additional Requirements:
- Must obtain an FAA Class II Medical Certificate before employment.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
- Pre-employment drug screening and L3Harris-administered medical examination.
- Criminal background check.
Special Consideration:
Military-trained aviators with fewer flight hours than the minimum requirement are encouraged to apply and will be given special consideration.
Security Clearance:
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. US citizenship is mandatory for security clearance eligibility.
