Specialist Pilot (PIC)
Take Flight in a Mission-Critical Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced aviator to join a dynamic team operating in support of critical missions. As a Specialist Pilot (PIC), you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of aircraft in accordance with FAA, company, and customer directives. This role demands proficiency in utilizing Night Vision Goggle (NVG) / night vision enhanced devices while operating from remote locations.
Responsibilities:
- Pilot aircraft in diverse operational environments, adhering to stringent safety protocols.
- Collaborate closely with maintenance personnel to ensure optimal aircraft performance and address any discrepancies.
- Demonstrate adaptability and a willingness to undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
General Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess US Citizenship and a valid US Passport.
- Hold a valid State Driver's License.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.
- Meet all medical deployment standards, including COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
- Be eligible to possess firearms.
FAA Requirements:
- Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Airplane - Multiengine Land rating.
- Possess an Instrument Airplane rating.
Flight Time Requirements:
- A minimum of 2,000 hours of total documented flight time.
- A minimum of 1,000 hours of total Pilot in Command time.
- A minimum of 300 hours of fixed-wing flight time.
When assessing flight experience, emphasis will be placed on the quality, recency, and verifiability of training; the complexity of aircraft flown; the types of flight operations undertaken; and the number of hours flown as PIC in turbine-powered aircraft. Candidates selected for an interview will be required to provide comprehensive documentation of all flight hours.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in manned ISR-related duties.
- Forward air control (FAC), FAC (A), or JTAC experience.
- Experience with airborne sensors.
- Fixed or rotary-wing direct air support experience.
- NVG experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 200 hours of Turboprop time.
- 200 hours of Instrument (actual) time.
- 300 hours of fixed-wing multi-engine time.
- BE300 type rating.
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Rating held for the last three (3) consecutive years.
Licensing and Certification Requirements:
- Formal or Specialized Training/Equivalent on assigned aircraft and equipment.
Other Requirements:
- A valid FAA Class II Medical Certificate is required prior to employment.
- Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Pre-employment drug testing and a medical examination administered by L3Harris are mandatory.
- Criminal history records check and background check will be conducted.
Special Consideration:
Military-trained aviators with less than the minimum required flight hours are encouraged to apply and may be granted special consideration.
