L3Harris-Aeromet is established within the DoD Community as the developer and operator of special mission ISR systems. We provide special mission system design, modification, and operations with emphasis on the development and integration of state-of-the-art EO/IR sensor systems.
Job Description:
Will be a dedicated resource that will participate in all aspects of operating special mission sensor aircraft in support of Missile Defense Agency testing. The work involves extensive over-water oceanice operations and work as part of a small team of pilots. The Aircraft are located at L3 Harris Aeromet’s Tulsa, OK Facility; however will be required to travel to support operations worldwide with occasional deployment times of up to 30 days or more. Typical deployments are 10-14 days. Airline travel to and from home of record from either Tulsa, OK or the deployment location will be provided by L3Harris. The position will be Part-time supporting mission deployments on a coordinated schedule. It does allow for outside employment when not supporting missions.
Essential Functions:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following duties:
+ After an initial indoctrination and training period, perform as a Co-Captain on unique GIIB special mission sensor aircraft operated by Aeromet.
+ Safely conduct training and operate the aircraft in accordance with all applicable FAA regulations and DCMA 8210 requirements.
+ Maintain professional standards of conduct at all times.
+ Able to work any assigned shift or schedule, including mission support outside normal duty hours and travel worldwide as required to support mission requirements.
Pilot will perform as a Captain/Co-captain operating three unique Gulfstream IIB aircraft in support of Missile Defense Agency testing. Work involves extensive over-water oceanic operations and work as part of a small team of pilots.
Qualifications:
+ Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license with Multi-engine Rating
+ Valid First-Class FAA medical certificate.
+ Multi-engine jet type rating
+ Gulfstream G1159 type rating and current FAR 61.58
+ Shall have a clean aviation accident and FAA violation record.
+ Shall never had any designation or ratings suspended or revoked.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
+ Must hold a current Department of Defense SECRET or higher security clearance.
+ Must have completed an approved Altitude Chamber course within the last 5 years.
+ Must have completed an approved Water Survival course within the last 3 years.
+ Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen.
+ Proficient using MS-Office (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and Outlook)
+ US Citizenship required.
+ Minimum of 1000 hours Jet PIC experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
+ Experience with Gulfstream aircraft
+ Technical Degree.
