Responsibilities

The Chief Flight Attendant is responsible for overseeing cabin crew operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and high standards of customer service. Key responsibilities include:

  • Operational Management: Manages cabin crew schedules, allocates resources, and ensures compliance with airline policies and procedures.
  • Resource Management: Collaborates with the network planning department to effectively allocate resources for flights.
  • Performance Management: Evaluates and provides feedback on cabin crew performance, conducts performance appraisals, and identifies training needs to foster development.
  • Hiring and Interviewing: Leads hiring interviews and makes staffing decisions for cabin crew positions.
  • Training and Development: Mentors new cabin crew members and provides ongoing training to the team.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; OR a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience is required.
  • Possession of an active DoD Top Secret security clearance, which necessitates U.S. citizenship.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience is essential.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role with a Part 121 air carrier.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FAA aviation safety regulations and procedures.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must reside in the Las Vegas area.
  • Ability to pass a medical exam and obtain a fit to fly certification.
  • Must be between 5 ft and 6 ft 1 in height.
  • Must be in possession of a valid US Passport.
  • Required to pass a fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) as per 49 CFR 1542.209 and a pre-employment drug screen.

  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure and in stressful situations.
