Duties
Operate aircraft in accordance with FAA, company and customer directives while operating and wearing Night Vision Goggle (NVG) / night vision enhanced devices from remote locations. Coordinates with maintenance personnel to analyze and correct aircraft discrepancies. Interacts with PMO and OCONUS leadership to determine operational training requirements.
PMO Lead Pilot is responsible for the organizations flight training program by providing oversight and guidance to PMO Instructor Pilots and the administration of all new hire pilot on-boarding requirements, to achieve mission goals. The candidate will have demonstrated skills in balancing the administrative, tactical and technical aspects of the position across all aircraft platforms. This position will be required to receive an annual Form 8 evaluation from a government representative. The lead is expected to be dedicated to continuous improvement and must have the ability to motivate and ensure accountability in the workforce. This position is the contract’s Senior Evaluator for the purposes of DCMA 8210.1C compliance.
+ Administer technical and tactical ground/flight instruction to pilots
+ Develops, schedules, coordinates the pilot training requirements
+ Reviews and updates courses, courseware and classroom program of instruction (POI)
+ Develops crewmember training records
+ Standardization Evaluator/administers AF Form 8 check rides
+ Supervise conduct of remedial training. Document and recommend disciplinary action.
+ Conduct aircrew annual/continuation training per USAF regulatory guidance and company policy
+ Candidates may be assigned other duties, as directed by management
General Requirements
+ At least 21 years of age
+ Current US passport
+ US Citizenship
+ Valid State Driver’s License
+ Read, write, speak and understand English
+ Mil IP/CFI/AGI (Tactics Instructor in tandem/fighter aircraft in lieu of this requirement)
Licensing Requirements
+ FAA Single Engine Land, Instrument Airplane Certificate
+ Rating held for the last three (3) consecutive years
+ FAA Second Class Medical certificate (current)
+ FAA Tailwheel Endorsement (preferred, not required)
+ AT-802 Type Rating Exemption or AT-802 FAIP certificate (preferred, not required)
Flight Time Requirements
+ Minimum of 3,000 hours of total documented flight time
+ Minimum of 500 hours of fixed wing single engine time
+ When evaluating the flight time of applicants meeting the basic qualifications, consideration will be given to, among other things, quality, quantity, currency, and verifiability of training; complexity of aircraft flown; types of flight operations; and hours flown as PIC in turbine powered tailwheel aircraft. Applicants invited to interview must provide appropriate documentation of all flight hours.
Preferred Experience
Prior military officer who has completed a joint field grade level professional military education course. Classroom platform instructor, prior manned ISR experience, Forward Air Controller (FAC, (FAC (A)), Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC), and Tactical Air Coordinator (TAC(A)) experience, airborne sensor operator experience, fixed or rotary wing direct air support experience.

+ AT-802U/Thrush-719/Longsword/IOMAX Archangel/Sky Warden experience
+ Prior Military Instructor/Evaluator Pilot
+ FAA Flight Instructor Instrument Airplane
+ Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmental Information
Education
+ 4 year Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years experience or equivalent combination of experience and education, highly desired
Other
+ Internal applicants preferred.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DOD Secret Security Clearance, Top Secret clearance preferred
+ Pre-employment drug test and a medical exam administered by L3Harris
+ Criminal history records check and a background check will be performed
