​Full responsibility for aircraft, its passengers and crew. Assures legal compliance with regulations and company policies. Prepares preflight planning and service to passengers to secure their safety and comfort. Supervises and coordinates flight personnel in any duties necessary for the safe, efficient and smooth operation of the aircraft; makes decisions to start, delay or cancel flights according to operating conditions.

  • Act as pilot in command (PIC) of flights for which pilot has been scheduled.
  • Perform preflight inspections and functional checks of aircraft systems.
  • Complete all required company Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) type certifications, proficiency checks and training.
  • Supervise and coordinate other flight personnel.
  • Provide excellent customer service to passengers.
  • Comply with schedules and other directives governing the aircraft's operations.
  • Study weather conditions at destination, reroute, alternate airports and departure points.
  • Prepare flight plans.
  • Ensure that the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all provisions on board for the safety and comfort of the passengers.
  • Review and calculate the aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board and performance charts.
  • Complete flight documents and manifests including Customs forms.
  • Assists in preparation of budgets, financials and ad hoc reports.
  • Review and approve all fuel and in-flight operating expenses.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • ​Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of seven (7) flight years experience is required. Airline Transport Pilot Rating (ATP) and a valid Second Class Medical (first class for international travel) is required.
  • 3000 hours total time, 2000 hours pilot in command (PIC) time (Aircraft), and 500 hours multi-engine time is required. 1500 hours turbine time.

Physical Demand Requirements

Occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
