First Officer - Cessna Citation CJ4

Position Overview
Kansas Athletics, Inc. is actively recruiting a dedicated First Officer to join its flight operations team, utilizing a Cessna Citation CJ4. This critical role supports the business aviation needs of Kansas Athletics and affiliated University of Kansas groups. The First Officer's paramount responsibility is ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all flights. This position is integral to a three-pilot crew structure on the Cessna Citation CJ4.
Key Responsibilities
The First Officer will provide comprehensive support to the Captain in all flight and operational capacities, undertaking responsibilities as delegated by the Captain. Key duties include:
- Ensuring the aircraft is impeccably maintained, stocked, and prepared for all flight operations.
- Proactively communicating any safety concerns or operational issues to the Captain or Chief Pilot.
- Executing designated Pilot Flying or Pilot Monitoring duties as assigned by the Captain.
- Assuming command of the aircraft in the unforeseen event of the Captain's incapacitation.
Administratively, the First Officer reports to the Chief Pilot, while operationally reporting to the Captain for each assigned flight.
Qualifications and Experience
Required Qualifications:
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Multi-Engine certificate.
- Current First Class Medical Certificate or the immediate ability to obtain one.
- A minimum of 3000 hours of total flight time.
- A minimum of 2000 hours of Pilot-In-Command (PIC) time.
- A minimum of 1000 hours of Pilot-In-Command (PIC) time in multi-engine aircraft.
- Demonstrated experience exercising confidentiality and discretion in professional settings.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients, as evidenced by application materials and interview performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CE-525 Type Rating (PIC).
- Current within the last 12 months on type, per FAR 61.58.
