Minimum Requirements:
- Flight Experience:
- A minimum of 100 hours Pilot In Command (PIC) time.
- At least 1000 hours on multi-engine aircraft.
- A minimum of 1000 hours on a multi-engine aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 5700 KG, not acquired in the position of a cruise relief co-pilot. Alternatively, candidates with verifiable military pilot experience are encouraged to apply.
- Applicants must have logged a minimum of 150 hours in commercial aviation within the 12 months prior to application, or possess active military pilot experience.
- Licenses & Ratings:
- A valid EASA Frozen ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License).
- Current Instrument Rating (IR).
- Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) certificate.
- Multi-Engine (ME) rating.
- Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) qualification.
- A valid Radiotelephony (RT) license.
- Demonstrated training in Performance-Based Navigation (PBN).
- Type rating is not required, as comprehensive training will be provided by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
- Medical & Language Proficiency:
- A valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 6.
- Proficiency in both English and Dutch. For non-Dutch speakers, successful completion of a Dutch language exam at CEFR B2 level is a prerequisite prior to the selection procedure.
- General Eligibility:
- Possession of a valid passport with no restrictions on international travel.
- A clean criminal record.
- No history of aviation incidents or accidents.
- At least a senior general secondary education diploma including English, mathematics, and physics, or an equivalent foreign education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidates who have successfully completed flight training at one of the following recognized institutions are highly desirable: KFA, NLS, CAE, EPST, or MFA.
- Applicants holding a Military Pilot License (MPL-A) from the Royal Netherlands Air Force/Navy are also preferred.
