About the Role
The intern will contribute to a significant data and dashboarding project within the Planning & Assignment department of Inflight Services at KLM. This involves migrating existing dashboards from Spotfire to Power BI, coinciding with a database migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The intern will analyze current Spotfire dashboards, translate them into functional and user-friendly Power BI dashboards, and consider technical conversion, logic, usability, and future-proofing. Key responsibilities include validating data sources, rebuilding and enhancing dashboards, identifying improvements in reporting and data quality, contributing to logical report structuring, testing dashboards with colleagues, and documenting processes and deliverables.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an HBO (higher professional education) degree in Data, ICT, Business IT, Technical Business Administration, Business Administration, or a comparable field.
- Demonstrated affinity with data analysis and dashboarding.
- Experience with Power BI, Spotfire, SQL, and/or Python is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills to understand complex business processes and translate them into clear visualizations.
- Meticulous attention to detail when checking data and reports.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Eagerness to learn new tools, techniques, and methodologies quickly.
- Problem-solving skills to address technical and content-related challenges.
Qualifications
- Internship duration: Approximately 4-6 months, with an estimated start in September.
- Work schedule: 40 hours per week.
