The Aircraft Pilot is entrusted with the operation and meticulous maintenance of company aircraft, prioritizing the utmost safety for passengers and crew. This role extends beyond flight operations to encompass active participation in strategic planning and other initiatives vital to the flight department's success. Reporting daily to the Chief Pilot, with a corporate reporting structure within the company travel department, this position operates within a standard co-captain crew structure.

This position is based at our Muscatine, Iowa location.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) for all assigned flights.
  • Function as Second in Command (SIC) for all assigned flights.
  • Adhere strictly to schedules and all directives governing aircraft operations.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections, ensuring the aircraft is fully prepared for flight.
  • Execute comprehensive pre-flight preparations, including detailed analysis of weather conditions, aircraft weight and balance, and performance calculations.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Engage in all relevant continuing education and certification coursework as required.
  • Demonstrate the ability to react swiftly and decisively, making critical decisions in dynamic situations.
  • Complete and accurately log all required flight reports and documentation.
  • Represent KENT WORLDWIDE™ at an executive level when interacting with business associates, officials, and customers.
  • Conduct all operations with an unwavering commitment to the highest standards of safety.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • FAA 560XL type rating is preferred.
  • An Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate is required.
  • Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certification is preferred.
  • Must hold and maintain a current First Class Medical certificate.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of 3,000 hours of total flight time.
  • Minimum of 1,500 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
  • Minimum of 1,500 hours of Multi-Engine Land (MEL) time.
  • Minimum of 500 hours of jet aircraft time.
  • Previous experience in Business Aviation or Part 135 operations is highly preferred.
