P-8A Pilot - Dallas, TX
KBR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced P-8A Pilot to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the Navy's Advanced Sensor Technologies Program Office (AST PO), providing critical test and evaluation (T&E) ground and flight support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide flight services for P-8 training flights, supporting logistics, transportation, VIP activities, demonstrations, maintenance, acceptance testing, and various flight testing phases.
- Actively participate in all aircrew training, ground training, and flight training programs.
- Serve as an instructor, sharing expertise and guiding other pilots.
- Collaborate with the Integrated Test Team (ITT) on mission planning and airspace coordination.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in aviation.
- Current or previous qualification in P-8A aircraft operations.
- Minimum of 1200 hours of flight experience in the P-8A aircraft.
- Proven designation as a P-8A Patrol Plane Commander (PPC) and P-8A Instructor Pilot (IP).
- Minimum of five years' experience operating airborne search, detection, and tracking systems on maritime surveillance aircraft.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with integrated test teams consisting of military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
- Ability to pass physical and qualification requirements for contract aircrew support.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance, including a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the past six years or enrollment in the Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline.
- Operational experience with DoD active-duty customers.
- Current qualification in P-8A aircraft operations.
- Past or current designation as P-8A Air-to-Air Refueling Pilot Flying (AAR PF).
- Experience with APS-154 systems.
- Experience with DT and/or OT systems testing of P-8A family systems.
- Recent experience in Research, Development, Testing & Engineering (RDT&E) and/or acquisition for advanced military electronics/computer systems.
- Experience with the Advanced Sensor Technologies Program Office.
- Completion of a Test Pilot School program.
