Your Responsibilities
As a Captain for John Deere World Headquarters located in Milan, IL, you may serve as the Captain on domestic flights and may serve as First Officer in worldwide operations. In addition, you will:

Maintain a safe, efficient culture that supports customer service

Practice and fully support Deere & Company’s Aviation Safety Management System
-
Promote a fair and inclusive work environment

Be fully compliant to all department and company procedures
-
Complete required annual training, including proficiency checks on aircraft systems, emergency procedures and corporate compliance
-
Research weather conditions, including forecasts, trends, NOTAMs, Temporary Flight Restrictions, applicable aeronautical and Customs regulations, and contingency options for points of departure, route of flight, destinations, and alternate airports

Compute aircraft performance and ensure limitations are not exceeded

Ensure preflight inspections are completed, and that all required documents are onboard the aircraft

Review and brief passengers on aircraft features and emergency procedures

Address passenger needs such as security, catering, ground transportation, and baggage
-
Work as a crew during flights to ensure the safe operation of the aircraft
-
File FAA Instrument Flight Plan for domestic flights and ensures international flight plans are accurate and properly filed

What Makes You Stand Out

FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate (ATP) with instrument and multiengine ratings

An aircraft type rating in an aircraft weighing over 12,500 lbs.

Turbo jet experience

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships

Adaptable to systems and procedures

Able to be coachable and able to accept constructive feedback

Experience in decision making and leadership

Recognize the importance of global compliance requirements
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

Bachelor's degree in aviation discipline or equivalent experience (technical degree or apprenticeship, 1 to 2 years of experience)

FAA Commercial Pilot certificate with instrument and multiengine ratings
