Etihad Airways - Co-Pilot Position
Job Description
This role entails ensuring the safety and security of the aircraft, passengers, and cargo onboard, adhering to Etihad Airways' operating policies and procedures. The Co-Pilot works in close collaboration with the Commander, assuming command in the event of the Commander's incapacitation.
Responsibilities:
- Safety and Security: Maintain the safety and security of the aircraft, passengers, and cargo onboard, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and procedures.
- Operational Proficiency: Remain familiar with Etihad Airways' Operations Manual, upholding professional and safe performance.
- Commander Support: Assist the Commander with administrative duties related to the flight.
- Discipline and Conduct: Support the Commander in maintaining a high standard of crew discipline, conduct, and personal appearance.
- Flight Operations: Execute duties assigned by the Commander, ensuring compliance with Etihad Airways' policies and procedures.
- Navigation and Safety: Confirm safe navigation of the aircraft, independently monitoring the aircraft's geographical position and ensuring terrain and weather clearance.
- Flight Plan Compliance: Conduct the flight in accordance with the current flight plan, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and the Commander's instructions. Inform the Commander of any changes to the flight plan, air traffic control (ATC), or geographical position upon their return.
- Advice and Assistance: Provide necessary advice, information, and assistance to the Commander, contributing to the safe and efficient conduct of the flight.
- Etihad Representation: Maintain a high personal standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a representative of Etihad Airways at all times.
Qualifications:
- Flight Time: Minimum of 2500 hours total flying time.
- Multi-Crew Experience: Minimum of 1500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit, or high-performance military jet.
- Boeing Experience: 500 hours on any Boeing aircraft.
- Current Certification: Current on any Boeing aircraft.
- Licensing: Current and unrestricted ICAO ATPL. Frozen ATPLs are accepted only from UAE citizens.
- Medical Certification: Unrestricted, current Class 1 medical.
- Age Limit: Maximum age limit of 50 years old.
- Language Proficiency: English language fluency (written and verbal) at Level 4 or better.
- Inflight Relief: 75% of total hours accumulated on flights with inflight relief will be counted towards required minimums.
Salary and Benefits:
- Base Salary: AED 26,000 per month.
- Flight Duty Allowance:
- 1-6 years of service: AED 40 per block hour.
- 7-18 years of service: AED 56 per block hour.
- Meal Allowance: During layovers, meal allowances vary by region:
- Middle East/GCC/Sub Continent: AED 12 per hour.
- Asia/Far East: AED 15 per hour.
- Africa/Australasia: AED 18 per hour.
- Europe/Americas: AED 23 per hour.
- Housing Allowance: Up to AED 160,000 per year.
- Education Allowance: AED 40,000 for primary and AED 55,000 for secondary education, up to 3 children.
