G550 Captain

Job Summary:
Jet Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Captain to join its elite Flight Services team in Hong Kong. The Captain will be responsible for leading aircraft operations on the G550 fleet with precision, ensuring the highest standards of safety, service, and operational excellence. This role reports directly to the Director of Flight Operations and is pivotal in delivering world-class aviation services to clients. Key Responsibilities:
The G550 Captain is entrusted with critical duties to ensure safe and efficient flight operations, including:
- Ensuring the safety of all crew members, passengers, and cargo onboard the aircraft.
- Complying with all operational procedures and checklists as stipulated in the Operations Manual (FOM) and relevant regulations.
- Confirming all crew members are at their designated stations during critical phases of flight (take-off, final approach, landing).
- Prohibiting non-essential activities by crew members during take-off, initial climb, final approach, and landing.
- Ensuring flight data and cockpit voice recorders are preserved, not disabled or erased, unless required for incident/accident investigation data conservation.
- Coordinating work distribution within the flight crew to achieve optimal airmanship.
- Ensuring precise navigation and adherence to minimum altitudes.
- Operating the aircraft within system limitations and ensuring proper use and handling.
- Strictly enforcing the use of checklists.
- Verifying sufficient usable fuel remains for safe landing at a designated airport, with final reserve fuel intact.
- Maintaining close communication with cabin crew to ensure compliance with cabin safety requirements.
- Ensuring flight and technical logs are accurately completed.
- Filing written occurrence and accident reports when necessary.
- Maintaining current familiarity with relevant aviation regulations, company operations manuals (JBJH/JBJS), and agreed aviation practices.
- Upholding a high standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a representative of the company.
- Complying with regulations contained in the Operations Manual (FOM) and the Air Navigation Order (ANO).
- Ensuring all passengers receive briefings on emergency exits and the location/use of safety equipment.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a type rating for the G550 (FAA, UK, or EASA).
- Accumulate a minimum of 3,000 total flight hours.
- Possess at least 500 hours experience on the G550 or similar jet aircraft.
- Previous experience as a Captain on a business jet is preferred.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of aircraft systems, aviation regulations, and safety protocols.
- Exhibit excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Possess experience in international flying and operating in adverse weather conditions.
