Jet Aviation: A220 Captain – Singapore
Jet Aviation, a global leader in aviation services since 1967, seeks a highly skilled and experienced A220 Captain to join its Flight Operations team based in Singapore. This pivotal role contributes directly to maintaining the company's unwavering commitment to safety, operational excellence, and superior client service. Reporting to the Director of Flight Operations, the successful candidate will command A220 aircraft within the Singapore-based fleet.
Responsibilities:
The Captain will assume full responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, encompassing:
- Prioritizing the safety of all crew, passengers, and cargo.
- Strict adherence to all operational procedures and checklists as outlined in the Operations Manual (FOM).
- Ensuring all crew members are at their designated stations before takeoff, final approach, and landing.
- Preventing any non-essential crew activities during critical flight phases (takeoff, initial climb, final approach, landing).
- Maintaining the integrity of flight data and cockpit voice recorders, ensuring data preservation for accident/incident investigations as required.
- Effective coordination of flight crew duties to optimize airmanship.
- Precise navigation and adherence to minimum altitudes.
- Rigorous observance of aircraft system limitations and proper equipment handling.
- Enforcing consistent checklist usage.
- Maintaining sufficient usable fuel reserves for safe diversion to an alternate airport.
- Close collaboration with cabin crew to ensure cabin safety protocols are met.
- Accurate completion of flight and technical logs.
- Preparation of incident/accident reports as needed.
- Maintaining current knowledge of aviation regulations, the Jet Aviation Operations Manual (JBJH/JBJS), and best industry practices.
- Representing Jet Aviation with professionalism and a high standard of conduct and appearance.
- Compliance with all regulations detailed in the Operations Manual (FOM) and Air Navigation Order (ANO).
- Providing comprehensive safety briefings to passengers, including emergency exit procedures and safety equipment usage.
Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate possesses:
- A current A220 type rating.
- Preferably, experience in private jet operations.
- A minimum of 500 hours on the Bombardier XRS (5000 hours will also be considered).
- A willingness to relocate to Singapore.
