About the Role

Jet Linx is actively seeking an experienced and highly skilled Second in Command (SIC) for their Gulfstream GV (G5) heavy jet fleet, based in Teterboro, NJ. This full-time First Officer position supports both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. The Second in Command Pilot plays a critical role, reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in strict adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company procedures. Candidates are expected to reside, or be willing to relocate, within a two-hour call-out time of their Teterboro base.

Essential Functions

• Proactively manage duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with both company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs).
• Maintain consistent communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and comprehensive pre- and post-flight reports.
• Effectively manage and maintain electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
• Ensure all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and readily accessible.
• Maintain a current FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.
• Demonstrate strong, proactive decision-making skills in all operational scenarios.
• Uphold and embody Jet Linx's core values in all interactions and operational duties.
• Work predominantly in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals, requiring frequent movement of up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Minimum Flight Experience

• Total Time: 2500 hours
• Total Pilot in Command (PIC): 500 hours
• Total Multi-Engine: 500 hours
• Total Turbine: 100 hours
• Total Instrument: 150 hours

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
• Current FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.
• Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Restricted Radio License.
• Current passport.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. driver's license.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Unrestricted ability to travel internationally to all European Union (EU), Canadian, and Caribbean countries.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and consent to random drug and alcohol testing; this includes mandatory pre-employment drug testing for marijuana, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP), and amphetamines for all safety-sensitive functions.
• Ability to release and successfully pass a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
• Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in the Gulfstream GV (G5) aircraft type within the last 24 months is preferred.
