Pilot in Command – Citation XLS

Employment Type: Full-Time

Jet Linx is seeking qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) candidates to operate midsize jet aircraft for Part 91 and 135 flight operations. Ideal candidates must reside, or be willing to relocate, within a two-hour call-out time of the aircraft base.

Position Summary

The Pilot in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot. The PIC is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.

Minimum Flight Requirements

  • Total Time: 3,500 hours
  • Total PIC: 2,000 hours
  • Total Time in Type: 250 hours
  • Total PIC Time in Type: 250 hours
  • Total Multi-Engine: 1,500 hours
  • Total Multi-Engine PIC: 500 hours
  • Total Turbine: 500 hours
  • Total Instrument: 300 hours

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Manage duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with company standards and CFRs.
  • Maintain consistent communication for standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and reporting requirements.
  • Manage electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
  • Ensure navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current.
  • Maintain a current 1st Class medical certificate.
  • Exercise proactive, effective decision-making skills.
  • Uphold and demonstrate company core values in all professional interactions.

Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • ATP certificate (or ability to obtain).
  • Current 1st Class medical certificate and FCC Restricted Radio License.
  • Current passport with unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. driver’s license.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to pass a FAA Pilot Record Database review.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and participate in random drug/alcohol testing programs (covering marijuana, cocaine, opiates, PCP, and amphetamines).
  • Preferred: Initial or recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months.
  • Physical requirements: Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to move up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Work environment: Primarily based in and around aircraft and airport terminals.

Compensation and Benefits

Jet Linx provides a competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting base annual salary for this position ranges from $145,000 to $200,000, determined by geographic location, aircraft size, relevant education, training, and experience. Benefits include:
