Position Summary
Jet Linx is actively seeking a highly qualified and experienced aviation professional for the full-time position of Pilot in Command (PIC) on its Midsize jet aircraft fleet, specifically the Citation XLS/XLS+. This critical role operates under both Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations, based out of Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a steadfast commitment to aviation safety, operational excellence, and a client-centric approach.
The Pilot in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and bears primary responsibility for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of company aircraft in strict adherence to all Federal Aviation Regulations and established company procedures. This position requires the incumbent to reside, or be willing to relocate, within a two-hour call-out radius of the Minneapolis home base.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Expertly manages duty, flight, and rest times to ensure rigorous compliance with both company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs).
- Maintains continuous and proactive communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position reports, and comprehensive pre- and post-flight documentation.
- Diligently maintains and manages Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and associated applications, ensuring optimal functionality and currency.
- Ensures the currency and accuracy of all navigation charts, aviation publications, and company operational manuals required for flight.
- Maintains a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate without lapse.
- Consistently demonstrates strong, proactive decision-making skills in all operational scenarios, prioritizing safety and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates for the Pilot in Command position must meet the following stringent requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 2000 hours
- Total Time in Type (Citation XLS/XLS+): 250 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC) Time in Type (Citation XLS/XLS+): 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Time: 1500 hours
- Multi-Engine Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Time: 500 hours
- Total Instrument Time: 300 hours
Additional Requirements & Preferences
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent extensive work experience is required.
- Initial or recurrent FAA Part 142 training in the Citation XLS/XLS+ type within the last 24 months is highly preferred.
- Possession of or ability to obtain a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States.
- A current, valid passport for international travel.
- An Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, or the ability to obtain one.
- A current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- An FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required by regulations.
- Unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to authorize and successfully pass an FAA Pilot Record Database (PRD) review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as operational demands dictate.
- The majority of work involves activities within and around aircraft and airport terminals.
- Ability to frequently move and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx offers a highly competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package designed to attract and retain top talent in the aviation industry. The starting base annual salary for this Pilot in Command position ranges from $145,000 to $200,000. The actual base salary extended will be commensurate with the candidate's geographic location, specific aircraft size and crew position, and relevant education, training, and experience.
