Position Summary
The client is seeking two Gulfstream G600 Pilots in Command for a Part 91 account. While based at KBED, these full-time positions offer the unique flexibility of commuting from anywhere within the United States. This expansion in headcount aims to provide an optimal work-life balance for all flight crew members, ensuring a favorable schedule with crew rotation opportunities every 30-60 days. The aircraft typically conducts 70-80 flights per year, accumulating approximately 200 hours, with extensive global travel. The Pilot in Command reports directly to the Lead Captain and holds ultimate authority for the safe, secure, and efficient conduct of all assigned flights, strictly adhering to company operating policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP) with an appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- GVII Type Rating.
- Minimum of 4,000 hours Total Fixed Wing flight time.
- Minimum of 2,000 hours Captain time.
- Minimum of 1,500 hours Multi-Engine Land time.
- Minimum of 2,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
- Minimum of 1,500 hours Turbojet time.
- Minimum of 1,500 hours Turbine time.
- Minimum of 100 hours Night flight time.
- Minimum of 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument time.
- At least 5 years of professional aviation experience.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness and ability to travel worldwide extensively, without any restrictions.
- Proven international flying experience.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
Main Responsibilities
- Safely operate the aircraft in compliance with all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Determine departure times, routes, and make informed decisions regarding flight cancellations based on prevailing weather or other operational conditions.
- Implement all necessary changes to flight plans as required by en-route conditions, ensuring continuity under appropriate company guidelines.
- Conduct flights in a safe and prudent manner, adhering to industry best practices and company standards.
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
- Establish and maintain a thorough and complete understanding of all flight aspects with the Second in Command.
- Accurately record all aircraft discrepancies in the aircraft discrepancy log and promptly report them to the Director of Maintenance (DOM) or their designee. Evaluate inoperative items based on the approved Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and DOM directives to determine deferral or repair actions.
- Confirm that all flight crew members report for duty in proper attire, and are mentally and physically fit for duty.
- Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of all aircraft systems authorized for operation, including emergency systems and procedures.
- Secure the aircraft post-flight, including arranging hangar storage as deemed necessary or instructed by company management.
- Obtain the most current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMs from authorized agencies.
- File or ensure the filing of flight plans with the FAA or appropriate ICAO state ATC facilities.
- Analyze area, en-route, and terminal charts for intended landing airports and alternates.
- Perform the duties of the In-flight Security Coordinator (ISC) as per applicable standard security programs (e.g., 12.5 or private charter).
- Conduct or delegate required passenger safety briefings to the Second in Command.
- Mentor and impart knowledge and skills to the Second in Command, preparing them to assume PIC duties in emergencies or for future upgrades.
- Complete and transmit the leg manifest to operations control prior to each departure.
- Complete and transmit the End of Day (EOD) report to operations control upon completion of each flight day.
- Actively support the open sharing of information on all safety issues and promptly report all safety hazards and concerns.
- Immediately report any hazardous actions, conduct, or events to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Maintain overall responsibility for delegated duties.
- Perform other duties as required to support flight operations.
- Represent the client company professionally, upholding its reputation internally and externally with industry groups and regulatory bodies.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate but may occasionally reach high volumes during aircraft arrivals and departures. Employees are frequently exposed to vibration and may occasionally encounter fuel fumes. The ability to work in all types of weather conditions is essential. Hangar environments may experience extreme hot and cold temperatures during certain seasons.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $300,000 - $315,000 annually. This range is an estimate and not a guarantee of compensation. Actual salary will be determined based on factors such as experience, geographic location, and other pertinent requirements.
