Position Summary
Jet Aviation is actively seeking a highly professional, adaptable, dynamic, and motivated G650 Captain for a permanent contract. This pivotal role requires an exceptional communicator with a profound enthusiasm and passion for delivering an unparalleled flight experience to our esteemed clientele. The G650 Captain holds ultimate responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the assigned aircraft, serving as the Company's primary representative throughout the entire flight duty. This encompasses ensuring the safety and well-being of all crew members, passengers, and cargo from embarkation until the aircraft is securely positioned post-flight. This position reports directly to the Director of Flight Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the paramount safety of all crew members, passengers, and cargo onboard the aircraft.
- Strictly adhere to all operational procedures and checklists as stipulated in the Operations Manual (FOM).
- Verify that all crew members are at their designated stations prior to take-off, final approach, and landing.
- Prohibit any crew member from performing non-essential activities during critical flight phases, including take-off, initial climb, final approach, and landing.
- Ensure that flight data and/or cockpit voice recorders are not disabled or erased, unless data conservation is required for incident/accident investigation and would otherwise be automatically overwritten.
- Strategically coordinate work distribution within the flight crew to maximize airmanship and ensure optimal conduct of the flight.
- Execute precise navigation and scrupulously observe minimum altitudes.
- Adhere strictly to all aircraft system limitations and ensure proper use and handling of the aircraft.
- Enforce the stringent use of all required checklists.
- Confirm that sufficient usable fuel remains to proceed to a safe landing airport with the prescribed final reserve fuel.
- Maintain close coordination with the cabin crew to ensure compliance with all cabin safety requirements.
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation of flight and technical logs.
- File comprehensive written occurrence and accident reports when necessary.
- Maintain continuous familiarity with relevant aviation regulations, JBJH/JBJS operations manuals, and agreed aviation practices pertinent to the function.
- Uphold the highest standards of discipline, conduct, and professional appearance as a representative of Jet Aviation.
- Comply rigorously with the regulations outlined in the Operations Manual (FOM) and the Air Navigation Order (ANO).
- Ensure all passengers receive a thorough briefing on emergency exit locations and the proper use of relevant safety and emergency equipment.
- Represent Jet Aviation as a unified entity, both internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and within the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements
- Possession of a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a current G650 type rating (FAA, UK, or EASA).
- A minimum of 500 hours of flight experience on type (G650).
