Position Summary
Jet Aviation is seeking a highly professional, flexible, dynamic, and motivated G650 Captain for a permanent contract based in Kowloon City, Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and a profound passion for delivering an unparalleled flight experience to our clients. The Captain holds overall responsibility for the safe operation of the assigned aircraft and serves as the Company’s representative throughout the duration of the flight duty. This includes ensuring the safety and well-being of all crew members, passengers, and cargo from the moment of boarding until the aircraft is safely secured post-flight. This position reports directly to the Director of Flight Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures the paramount safety of all crew members, passengers, and cargo onboard.
- Complies with all operational procedures and checklists in accordance with the provisions of the Operations Manual (FOM).
- Verifies that all crew members occupy their assigned stations prior to take-off, final approach, and landing.
- Prohibits any crew member from performing activities during take-off, initial climb, final approach, and landing, except those duties required for the safe operation of the aircraft.
- Ensures that no flight data and/or cockpit voice recorder is disabled or erased, unless data needs to be conserved for the investigation of an incident or accident and would otherwise automatically be erased.
- Coordinates work distribution within the flight crew to achieve the highest standards of airmanship for the conduct of the flight.
- Ensures precise navigation and diligent observation of minimum altitudes.
- Adheres to the limitations of all aircraft systems and ensures the proper use and handling of the aircraft.
- Enforces the strict use of checklists throughout all flight phases.
- Verifies that the amount of usable fuel remaining is sufficient to proceed to an airport where a safe landing can be made, with final reserve fuel remaining.
- Maintains close contact with the cabin crew to ensure all requirements concerning cabin safety are being followed.
- Ensures the accurate and complete fulfillment of flight and technical logs.
- Files written occurrence and accident reports if the necessity arises.
- Maintains familiarity with relevant aviation regulations, JBJH/JBJS operations manual, and agreed aviation practices pertinent to the function.
- Upholds a high standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a representative of the company.
- Complies with all regulations contained in the Operations Manual (FOM) and the Air Navigation Order (ANO).
- Ensures that all passengers are briefed on the location of emergency exits and the location and use of relevant safety and emergency equipment.
- Represents Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) with a type rating for G650 (FAA, UK, or EASA).
- More than 500 hours on type (G650).
