Jet Aviation is seeking a Lead Captain - G650ER
Jet Aviation, a global leader in aviation services since 1967, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Lead Captain to pilot a G650ER aircraft. This position, reporting to the Regional Chief Pilot, ensures the safe, secure, and efficient operation of all assigned flights, adhering strictly to company operating policies and procedures. The Lead Captain exercises Pilot-in-Command authority, holding ultimate responsibility for the safety of each flight. This position is located in Stuart, FL or Rifle, CO and requires an onsite presence.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the aircraft safely, determining optimal departure times and routes, and making informed decisions regarding flight cancellations based on weather or other relevant conditions.
- Ensure strict compliance with all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures throughout each flight.
- Coordinate aircraft schedules and training activities with flight crews and Customer Service Representatives, utilizing supplemental crew resources as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager regarding aircraft servicing and maintenance requirements.
- Ensure accurate submission and review of flight and duty records by all assigned crew members.
- Maintain current aircraft manuals, Jeppesen charts/EFBs, delegating responsibilities as appropriate.
- Coordinate crew member training and check rides in conjunction with the Manager of Training, adhering to the annual training calendar.
- Manage crew member time off and training events while ensuring maximum aircraft coverage.
- Verify that flight crews report for duty in appropriate attire and are mentally and physically fit for duty.
- Mentor and coach crew members to foster professional development.
- Conduct annual performance reviews for assigned crew members.
- Attend Lead Captain meetings.
- Provide support to the Account Director as needed.
- Participate in the flight crew hiring process.
- Implement necessary changes dictated by en route conditions to maintain flight safety and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct flights in a safe and prudent manner, adhering to industry and company standards.
- Accurately complete all trip paperwork according to current procedures.
- Ensure a thorough and complete understanding with the Second-in-Command regarding all aspects of the flight.
- Record all aircraft discrepancies in the aircraft discrepancy log and immediately report them to the Director of Maintenance or their designee.
- Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of all aircraft systems, including emergency systems and procedures.
- Secure the aircraft after each flight, arranging hangar storage as needed or instructed.
- Obtain the most current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMs from an FAA Flight Service Station or authorized agency.
- File or ensure the filing of flight plans with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility.
- Analyze area, enroute, and terminal charts for the intended landing airport and alternates.
- Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) under applicable security programs.
- Conduct passenger safety briefings or delegate this duty to the Second-in-Command.
- Impart knowledge and skills to the Second-in-Command to prepare them for Pilot-in-Command duties.
- Complete and send the leg manifest and End of Day (EOD) report to operations control.
- Actively support the open sharing of information on all safety issues and report all safety hazards and concerns.
- Immediately report any hazardous action, conduct, or event to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Represent Jet Aviation internally and externally, engaging with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4000 hours Total Fixed Wing flight time.
- 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land flight time.
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command flight time.
- 1500 hours Turbojet flight time.
- 1500 hours Turbine flight time.
- 100 hours Night flight time.
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument flight time.
- 5 years of aviation experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules.
- Willingness to travel worldwide extensively and without restrictions.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $320,000 - $340,000, commensurate with experience, geographic location, and other relevant factors.
