G650ER Captain - Jet Aviation
Jet Aviation, a global leader in aviation services since 1967, seeks a highly experienced and dedicated G650ER Captain to join its Flight Services team. The successful candidate will be based in either Stuart, FL, or Rifle, CO, operating onsite and upholding the highest standards of safety, security, and quality.
Position Summary:
The Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of all assigned flights, exercising Pilot-in-Command authority while adhering to company operating policies and procedures. He or she reports to the Lead Captain and is the final authority for the safe operation of each flight.
Main Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the aircraft, determining departure times and routes, and canceling flights as needed due to weather or other conditions.
- Ensure flights are conducted in full compliance with all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Institute necessary changes due to en route conditions, maintaining adherence to company policies, procedures, and rules.
- Conduct flights in a safe and prudent manner, meeting industry and company standards.
- Accurately complete all trip paperwork according to current procedures.
- Ensure complete understanding with the Second-in-Command regarding all aspects of the flight.
- Record all aircraft discrepancies, report them to the Director of Maintenance, and determine if items can be deferred or require repair per the MEL.
- Ensure the flight crew reports for duty in proper attire and is mentally and physically fit for duty.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all aircraft systems, including emergency systems and procedures.
- Secure the aircraft after each flight, arranging hangar storage as needed or instructed.
- Obtain current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMs.
- File or cause a flight plan to be filed with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility.
- Analyze area, enroute, and terminal charts for intended landing airports and alternates.
- Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC).
- Conduct required passenger safety briefings or assign the duty to the Second-in-Command.
- Impart knowledge and skills to the Second-in-Command to prepare them for Pilot-in-Command duties.
- Complete and send the leg manifest and End of Day (EOD) report to operations control.
- Actively support the open sharing of information on all safety issues and report hazards and concerns.
- Immediately report any hazardous action, conduct, or event to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Represent Jet Aviation internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4000 hours Total Fixed Wing flight time.
- 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land flight time.
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command flight time.
- 1500 hours Turbojet flight time.
- 1500 Turbine time.
- 100 hours Night flight time.
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument flight time.
- 5 years of aviation experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules.
- Willingness and ability to travel worldwide extensively without restrictions.
- Valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands:
The employee must be able to use their hands and fingers, stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds above their heads. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
Work Environment:
The employee will work in both a heavy maintenance environment and upscale customer areas. The noise level is typically moderate, with occasional high volume. The employee may be exposed to vibration and occasional fuel fumes. Willingness and ability to work in all types of weather conditions are required. The hangar environment may experience extreme temperatures.
Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $290,000 - $310,000, commensurate with experience, geographic location, and other requirements.
