About the Role
Jet Aviation is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Captain for our Global 7500 fleet based in Teterboro, New Jersey. Reporting to the Lead Captain, the Captain will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of all assigned flights, upholding the highest standards of safety, security, and quality. This role demands a strong command presence, exceptional piloting skills, and unwavering commitment to regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Exercise Pilot-in-Command authority on all assigned flights, maintaining ultimate responsibility for the safety of the flight.
- Ensure all flights are conducted in strict accordance with federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Adapt to changing en route conditions, making informed decisions to ensure continued flight operation within established safety parameters.
- Maintain meticulous flight records and documentation, adhering to company procedures.
- Foster clear and consistent communication with the Second-in-Command, ensuring a shared understanding of all flight aspects.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections, accurately documenting and reporting any aircraft discrepancies to the Director of Maintenance.
- Verify flight crew attire and fitness for duty, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all aircraft systems, including emergency procedures.
- Secure the aircraft following each flight, arranging hangar storage as required.
- Obtain and analyze current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMs.
- File and amend flight plans as necessary, adhering to FAA and ICAO regulations.
- Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) under the twelve five standard security program or private charter standard security program, as applicable.
- Conduct or delegate passenger safety briefings, ensuring passenger awareness of safety procedures.
- Mentor and train the Second-in-Command, equipping them to assume Pilot-in-Command duties in emergency situations or during future upgrades.
- Submit accurate and timely leg manifests and End of Day (EOD) reports to Operations Control.
- Actively contribute to a culture of safety, reporting all hazards and concerns through appropriate channels.
- Immediately report any hazardous actions, conduct, or events to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Effectively delegate duties while retaining ultimate responsibility for their execution.
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Represent Jet Aviation professionally, upholding the company's values and standards in interactions with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Qualifications
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP) with a valid Global 7500 type rating.
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4,000 hours total fixed-wing flight time.
- 1,500 hours multi-engine land experience.
- 2,000 hours Pilot-in-Command experience.
- 1,500 hours turbojet time.
- 1,500 hours turbine time.
- 100 hours night flying experience.
- 75 hours actual or simulated instrument time.
- 5+ years of aviation experience.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively worldwide without restrictions.
- Valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position requires the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, and withstand exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels associated with hangar and ramp environments.
