Position Overview
Reporting to the Lead Captain, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Gulfstream G280, prioritizing safety, security, and an unwavering commitment to quality. As Pilot in Command, you hold ultimate authority for all assigned flights, making critical decisions to ensure the well-being of passengers and crew.
Key Responsibilities
- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of all aircraft systems, including emergency procedures, for the Gulfstream G280.
- Maintain unwavering adherence to all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Meticulously complete all pre-flight preparations, including weather assessments, flight plan filing, and route analysis.
- Execute smooth and safe flight operations, adjusting to changing en route conditions while adhering to company protocols.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight briefings for passengers, emphasizing safety procedures and ensuring a comfortable experience.
- Collaborate effectively with the Second in Command, fostering a culture of open communication and shared situational awareness.
- Diligent completion of all required trip paperwork and aircraft discrepancy logs, ensuring timely reporting of maintenance concerns.
- Actively participate in safety management initiatives, promptly reporting hazards, concerns, and incidents to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, representing Jet Aviation as a brand ambassador to clients and industry stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with a valid Gulfstream G280 type rating.
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4000 hours total fixed-wing flight time.
- 1500 hours multi-engine land experience.
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command time.
- 1500 hours turbojet experience.
- 1500 hours turbine time.
- 100 hours night flying experience.
- 75 hours of actual or simulated instrument time.
- 5 years of professional aviation experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules and travel extensively worldwide without restrictions.
