Lead Captain - G150
Jet Aviation is seeking a qualified and experienced Lead Captain for a G150 aircraft, based in Addison, Texas. The Lead Captain ensures the safe and efficient conduct of flight assignments, prioritizing safety, security, and quality. He exercises Pilot in Command authority over all assigned flights and serves as the final authority for the safe operation of the aircraft. This is an onsite position within the Flight Services job category, ideal for a seasoned aviation professional.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the aircraft, determining departure times and routes, and canceling flights based on weather or other conditions.
- Ensure flight operations comply with all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate aircraft schedules and training with flight crew and CSRs, utilizing supplemental crew as needed.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager regarding aircraft servicing and cleaning.
- Verify that assigned crew members submit and review flight and duty records and other required documentation.
- Ensure aircraft manuals and Jeppesen charts/EFBs are current, delegating tasks as necessary.
- Coordinate crew member training and check rides with the Manager of Training, following the annual training calendar.
- Manage crew time off and training events while maintaining optimal aircraft coverage.
- Confirm that the flight crew reports for duty appropriately attired and mentally and physically fit for duty.
- Mentor and coach crew members to support their professional development.
- Conduct annual performance reviews for assigned crew members.
- Attend Lead Captain meetings.
- Assist the Account Director as requested.
- Participate in the flight crew hiring process.
- Implement necessary changes dictated by en route conditions, ensuring flights adhere to company policies, procedures, and rules.
- Conduct flights safely and prudently, following industry and company standards.
- Accurately complete all trip paperwork per current procedures.
- Ensure a complete understanding with the Second in Command regarding all aspects of flight.
- Record aircraft discrepancies on the discrepancy log, immediately reporting them to the Director of Maintenance or designee.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all aircraft systems, including emergency systems and procedures.
- Secure the aircraft after each flight, arranging hangar storage as needed or instructed.
- Obtain current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMS from an FAA flight service station or authorized agency.
- File or ensure the filing of flight plans with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility.
- Analyze area, enroute, and terminal charts for the intended landing airport and alternates.
- Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) under the applicable security program.
- Conduct passenger safety briefings or assign the duty to the Second in Command.
- Share knowledge and skills with the Second in Command to prepare them for Pilot in Command duties.
- Complete and send the leg manifest to operations control prior to each departure.
- Complete and send the End of Day (EOD) report to operations control upon completion of each flight day.
- Actively support the open sharing of information on safety issues, reporting all safety hazards and concerns.
- Immediately report any hazardous action, conduct, or event to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Represent Jet Aviation internally and externally, engaging with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4000 hours Total Fixed Wing flight time.
- 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land flight time.
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command flight time.
- 1500 hours Turbojet flight time.
- 1500 Turbine time
- 100 hours Night flight time.
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument flight time.
- 5 years of aviation experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules.
- Willingness to travel worldwide extensively without restrictions.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Compensation:
The likely salary range for this position is $190,000 – $205,000, commensurate with experience, geographic location, and other requirements.
