Position Summary
Jet Aviation is actively seeking a highly professional, flexible, dynamic, and motivated G550 Captain to join its esteemed team on a permanent contract. The G550 Captain assumes ultimate authority and responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the designated aircraft and serves as a primary representative of the Company throughout all duty periods. This pivotal role encompasses ensuring the safety and well-being of all crew members, passengers, and cargo from the moment of boarding until disembarkation at the flight's conclusion.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure the paramount safety of all crew members, passengers, and cargo onboard the aircraft.
- Provide comprehensive briefings to all passengers regarding the location of emergency exits and the proper use of relevant safety and emergency equipment.
- Strictly adhere to all operational procedures and checklists as stipulated in the Operations Manual (FOM).
- Confirm that all crew members are at their designated stations prior to take-off, final approach, and landing.
- Prohibit any crew member from performing non-essential activities during critical flight phases (take-off, initial climb, final approach, and landing) to maintain absolute focus on safe aircraft operation.
- Ensure flight data and cockpit voice recorders remain active and are not disabled or erased, unless data conservation is explicitly required for incident or accident investigation and would otherwise be automatically overwritten.
- Coordinate and optimize work distribution within the flight crew to foster exceptional airmanship and crew resource management throughout the flight.
- Execute precise navigation and scrupulous observation of minimum safe altitudes.
- Operate the aircraft strictly within system limitations, ensuring the proper use and handling of all aircraft systems.
- Strictly enforce the mandatory use of all checklists.
- Verify that sufficient usable fuel remains to proceed to an airport where a safe landing can be made, with the prescribed final reserve fuel intact.
- Maintain continuous liaison with the cabin crew to ensure full compliance with all cabin safety requirements.
- Accurately complete all flight and technical logs.
- Prepare and submit written occurrence and accident reports as required.
- Maintain up-to-date familiarity with all relevant aviation regulations, the JBJH/JBJS operations manual and agreed aviation practices pertinent to the function.
- Uphold the highest standards of discipline, conduct, and professional appearance as a key representative of the Company.
- Comply rigorously with all regulations contained in the Operations Manual (FOM) and the Air Navigation Order (ANO).
- Represent Jet Aviation as a cohesive entity, both internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the broader General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements
- Possession of a relevant and current pilot license (FAA/EASA).
- Current and valid G550 type rating.
- Minimum of 500 hours of flight experience on the G550 type.
- Demonstrated experience in AOC (Air Operator Certificate) operations.
