Position Overview
Reporting to the regional Chief Pilot, the Lead Captain is entrusted with upholding the highest standards of safety, security, and operational efficiency. This role demands a strong command of aviation regulations and procedures, coupled with exceptional leadership and decision-making abilities. As the ultimate authority on assigned flights, the Lead Captain is responsible for all aspects of flight operations, ensuring the safety and well-being of both crew and passengers.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining full regulatory compliance with all federal, local, and company regulations and policies.
- Ensuring safe and efficient flight operations, including route planning, departure decisions, and weather-related considerations.
- Leading and mentoring assigned crew members, fostering a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.
- Coordinating aircraft schedules, training, maintenance, and servicing to maximize operational readiness.
- Maintaining accurate flight and duty records, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Collaborating with the Manager of Training to implement crew training schedules and competency assessments.
- Actively contributing to a positive and supportive work environment, embodying Jet Aviation's core values of Trust, Honesty, Alignment, and Transparency.
Qualifications
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Minimum flight experience:
- 4000 hours Total Fixed Wing
- 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command
- 1500 hours Turbojet
- 1500 hours Turbine time
- 100 hours Night
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument
- Five years of aviation experience.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules and travel extensively worldwide.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
