Position Summary
The Captain will embody Jet Aviation's commitment to safety and operational excellence. Reporting to the Lead Captain, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for the safe and efficient execution of all assigned flights. This includes exercising Pilot in Command authority, ensuring adherence to all company policies and procedures, and prioritizing the safety, security, and comfort of all passengers and crew.
Responsibilities
The Captain's responsibilities encompass all aspects of flight operation, including but not limited to:
- Flight Planning and Execution: Safely operate the aircraft, determine departure times and routes, and make informed decisions regarding flight cancellations based on weather conditions or other operational factors.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure meticulous adherence to all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures throughout all flight operations.
- In-Flight Decision Making: Adapt to changing en route conditions, implementing necessary adjustments to ensure continued flight safety and compliance with company protocols.
- Communication and Teamwork: Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Second in Command, providing comprehensive briefings and fostering a collaborative cockpit environment.
- Aircraft Maintenance: Diligently record and report any aircraft discrepancies, collaborating with maintenance personnel to ensure the aircraft remains in optimal condition.
- Safety and Security: Uphold the highest standards of safety and security, conducting thorough pre-flight checks, passenger briefings, and adhering to all security protocols.
- Mentorship and Training: Actively contribute to the development of the Second in Command, sharing knowledge and expertise to prepare them for future leadership roles.
- Professionalism and Demeanor: Act as a Brand Ambassador for Jet Aviation, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- 4000 hours Total Fixed Wing flight time
- 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land experience
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command time
- 1500 hours Turbojet experience
- 1500 hours Turbine time
- 100 hours Night flying experience
- 75 hours of Actual or Simulated Instrument time
- Minimum 5 years of aviation experience
- Flexibility to work varied schedules
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively worldwide without restrictions
- Valid driver's license

Physical Demands and Work Environment
