Captain - Falcon 2000

Jet Aviation, a premier global aviation services company, seeks a highly experienced and dedicated Captain to operate a Falcon 2000 aircraft, based in West Palm Beach, Florida. This pivotal role requires a commitment to the highest standards of safety, security, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will exercise Pilot-in-Command authority for all assigned flights, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Operate the aircraft safely, determining optimal departure times and routes, and making critical decisions regarding flight cancellations due to weather or other conditions.
  • Maintain strict adherence to all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Implement necessary changes based on en-route conditions, ensuring flight safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Ensure thorough communication with the Second-in-Command regarding all aspects of the flight.
  • Record aircraft discrepancies in the log and report them immediately to the Director of Maintenance.
  • Ensure the flight crew is fit for duty and appropriately attired.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of all aircraft systems, including emergency procedures.
  • Secure the aircraft post-flight, including arranging hangar storage when needed.
  • Obtain up-to-date weather reports and NOTAMs from authorized agencies.
  • File flight plans with the FAA or relevant ICAO ATC facility.
  • Analyze area, enroute, and terminal charts for the intended landing airport and alternates.
  • Function as the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) under applicable security programs.
  • Conduct passenger safety briefings or delegate this task to the Second-in-Command.
  • Mentor and train the Second-in-Command to prepare them for Pilot-in-Command duties.
  • Complete and submit leg manifests and end-of-day reports to operations control.
  • Actively contribute to a culture of open information sharing on safety issues, reporting hazards and concerns.
  • Report any hazardous actions or events to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
  • Represent Jet Aviation with integrity, internally and externally.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate Falcon 2000 Type Rating.
  • FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • 4,000 hours total fixed-wing flight time.
  • 1,500 hours multi-engine land flight time.
  • 2,000 hours Pilot-in-Command flight time.
  • 1,500 hours turbojet flight time.
  • 1,500 hours turbine time.
  • 100 hours night flight time.
  • 75 hours actual or simulated instrument flight time.
  • Five years of aviation experience.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules.
  • Willingness and ability to travel worldwide without restrictions.
  • Valid driver's license.

Physical Demands:

This position requires the ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, and use hands and fingers to operate equipment. The employee may occasionally be required to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally is necessary. The position also requires specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The position requires work in both maintenance and upscale customer environments. The noise level can range from moderate to high and the environment may include occasional exposure to vibration and fuel fumes. The candidate must be willing to work in various weather conditions and in extreme hot and cold temperatures in a hangar environment.
