Our client offers scheduled passenger service, bespoke charter flights, and cargo operations around the Last Frontier. First Officer safely operates Company aircraft according to regulations and established policies and procedures. The First Officer reports to the Chief Pilot and is accountable to the Pilot in Command (PIC) for flight-specific duties. This position is expected to uphold safety while performing flight crew duties and fulfilling the responsibilities expected of an employee. Other responsibilities aligned with the Core Values include but are not limited to:
+ Upholding safety by ensuring all work is accomplished in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs) and the Company’s manuals.
+ Maintaining a strong safety mindset through clear and timely communication with all appropriate points of contact involved in flight operations, including alerting the flight’s PIC of any actual or suspected deviation from regulations or company procedures.
+ Assuming responsibility for tasks at outstations, when appropriately trained, to include fueling, bag handling, cargo handling, and deicing because of our commitment to a successful team effort.
+ Promoting commitment by engaging in courteous and respectful interactions with customers, supervisors, co-workers, and business associates.
+ Cultivating integrity by calmly and professionally handling stressful situations that may arise, relying on training techniques and tools to manage each scenario as appropriate.
+ Acting with integrity when following established regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure personal fitness is satisfactory and compliant and that duties will not be impeded.

The successful candidate has excellent customer service skills and team member qualities, in addition to the required certifications and experience the position requires. They must also be willing to live and work within one hour of the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Other qualifications include:
+ Must possess High School Diploma/GED.
+ Must meet the applicable Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) minimums specified in 14 CFR Part 61 for either an ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP).
+ Must have a valid First Class Medical.
+ Must not have a record of any FAA ‘Certificate Action’ or ‘Administrative Action’ within the prior 24 months.
+ Must have a valid US Passport and be able to travel in and out of the US, including to Canada.
+ Must be located in Anchorage, Alaska, or be willing to relocate within 30 days if not already residing within one (1) hour of Anchorage.
+ Must be fluent in English and able to communicate in a professional manner both verbally and in writing.
+ Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the position, which require the ability to lift and maneuver 20 lbs. on a regular basis and may involve lifting and maneuvering up to 65 lbs.
+ Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
+ Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extreme temperatures.
+ Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS).
+ Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
+ Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
+ Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
