About the Role

As Captain, the successful candidate will command all assigned flights, ensuring the utmost safety and compliance with all regulations. This position involves maintaining a comprehensive understanding of aircraft systems, managing flight operations, and adapting to dynamic conditions to deliver a seamless travel experience. The Captain will also serve as a Brand Ambassador for Jet Aviation, embodying the company's core values and commitment to exceptional service.

Requirements

  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
  • FAA First Class Medical Certificate
  • 3,500 hours total fixed-wing flight time
  • 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC)
  • 1,500 hours Multi-Engine flight time
  • 500 hours Turbo-Jet flight time
  • 500 hours Turbine flight time
  • 100 hours Night flight time
  • 75 hours Simulated Instrument flight time
  • High school diploma
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work a variable schedule
  • Willingness to travel extensively worldwide without restrictions

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred
  • Appropriate aircraft type rating and currency for the Gulfstream G450
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Deep understanding of the aviation industry
  • Proactive and resourceful problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to quality and excellence
  • Ability to handle responsibilities with integrity and discretion

Responsibilities

  • Command all assigned flights, making critical safety decisions
  • Ensure compliance with federal, local, and company regulations
  • Maintain a complete working knowledge of all aircraft systems
  • Manage flight plans and adapt to changing conditions
  • Perform functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) as applicable
  • Conduct required passenger safety briefings or assign to the Second in Command
  • Support open communication on safety issues and report hazards
  • Record and report all aircraft discrepancies
  • Manage trip documentation and maintain aircraft manuals
  • Complete accurate trip paperwork
  • Represent Jet Aviation professionally and uphold the company's mission

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Tasks require regular use of hands, standing, walking, sitting
  • Occasional climbing, kneeling, or crouching
  • Frequent lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting
  • Maintain sharp vision across various ranges and depths
  • Operate in diverse environments, from maintenance areas to upscale customer spaces
  • Adapt to changing weather conditions and seasonal temperature extremes
  • Experience dynamic aircraft arrival and departure atmosphere, including occasional high noise levels, vibrations, and exposure to fuel fumes
