Role Overview

Jet Aviation Staffing is seeking an experienced Lead Captain to support a private Part 91 Corporate Flight Department. This position, based at Miami Executive Airport (TMB), is designed for a seasoned corporate pilot who excels in a hands-on leadership role. The successful candidate will demonstrate superior command skills, operational judgment, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to aircraft owners and passengers in a dynamic corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) for Citation XLS operations, ensuring strict adherence to safety, regulatory compliance, and professional standards.
Provide operational leadership for day-to-day flight planning, execution, and post-flight duties.
Coordinate with maintenance providers, FBO personnel, and scheduling teams to ensure seamless mission success.
Cultivate an exceptional passenger experience through discretion, professionalism, and high-level customer service.
Promote a culture of safety, effective communication, and accountability within the flight deck.
Maintain all required FAA certifications, medical currency, and aircraft qualifications.
Assist with broader flight department administrative needs, including maintenance coordination and weather analysis.
Represent the organization professionally in all interactions with stakeholders and service providers.

Minimum Qualifications

Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
Valid FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
Current or recent experience operating the Citation XLS or comparable Citation aircraft.
Extensive Part 91 corporate aviation experience with Pilot in Command responsibility.
Proven experience interacting directly with aircraft owners and executive-level passengers.
Comprehensive knowledge of FAA regulations and SOP compliance.
Flexibility to support a dynamic schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight travel.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in a senior leadership role, such as Lead Captain, Chief Pilot, or Check Airman.
Experience managing daily flight department operations.
A strong customer-centric mindset with high-level decision-making skills.
Demonstrated discretion, attention to detail, and a stable corporate aviation employment history.
Spanish language proficiency (optional).

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be capable of performing all essential pilot duties, including prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking on airport ramps, climbing aircraft stairs, and lifting baggage/materials. The role requires the ability to work in varying weather conditions and adapt to changing operational requirements with sound judgment.
