Position Summary
Jet Aviation is seeking a Lead Captain for the Citation Sovereign+ fleet. The Lead Captain serves as the Pilot in Command (PIC), entrusted with the safe, efficient, and professional operation of flight assignments. This role focuses on leadership, mentorship, and representing Jet Aviation’s standards of safety, security, and quality as a Brand Ambassador.
Responsibilities

Ensure the safe and efficient operation of assigned flights, including pre-flight/post-flight inspections, flight planning, and weather/route analysis.

Mentor and guide crew members, oversee performance, and coordinate schedules and training.

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems and adapt to changing flight conditions.

Promote a robust safety culture, conduct passenger briefings, and manage aircraft discrepancies.

Handle administrative tasks, including trip documentation, manual maintenance, and internal/external representation of the brand.
Required Qualifications

Certifications:
Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and FAA First Class Medical.

Experience:
Minimum of five years of aviation experience.

Flight Hours:
3,500 hours total fixed-wing time; 1,500 hours Pilot in Command; 1,500 hours Multi-Engine; 500 hours Turbo-Jet; 500 hours Turbine; 100 hours Night; 75 hours Simulated Instrument.

Education:
High school diploma.

Licensure:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Availability:
Ability to work a variable schedule and travel extensively worldwide without restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with a focus on client service.

Proactive problem-solving capabilities and a commitment to operational excellence.
Physical and Environmental Requirements

Perform tasks involving standing, walking, sitting, climbing, kneeling, or crouching.

Capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting.

Operate in diverse environments ranging from maintenance hangars to upscale customer spaces, including exposure to noise, vibrations, fuel fumes, and varying weather conditions.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary range is $175,000 to $210,000, determined by experience, location, and other relevant factors. Eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, including:
