Position Summary

Jet Aviation is seeking a dedicated Lead Captain to serve as the Pilot in Command (PIC) for Gulfstream 280 operations. This role involves the safe, efficient, and professional operation of flight assignments while providing leadership, mentorship, and representing the brand’s commitment to excellence, trust, and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe and efficient flight operations, including pre-flight/post-flight inspections, flight planning, and meteorological analysis.
  • Provide crew leadership by mentoring staff, coordinating training, and managing scheduling for seamless operations.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems to ensure precision and adaptability in diverse operational conditions.
  • Champion safety culture through passenger briefings, compliance with standards, and collaboration with maintenance teams.
  • Manage administrative duties, including trip documentation and aircraft manual maintenance.
  • Represent Jet Aviation as a professional brand ambassador in all interactions.

Required Qualifications

  • Certifications: Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and FAA First Class Medical.
  • Experience: Minimum five years of aviation experience.
  • Flight Hours: 3,500 hours total fixed-wing time, including 1,500 hours PIC, 1,500 hours Multi-Engine, 500 hours Turbo-Jet, 500 hours Turbine, 100 hours Night, and 75 hours Simulated Instrument.
  • Education: High school diploma.
  • Documentation: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Availability: Ability to work a variable schedule and travel extensively worldwide without restrictions.

  • College degree.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving capabilities and a commitment to integrity.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform regular standing, walking, and sitting, with occasional climbing, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting.
  • Must maintain sharp vision across various ranges and depths.
  • The work environment includes exposure to aircraft maintenance areas, high noise levels, vibrations, fuel fumes, and varying weather/temperature conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $250,000 to $280,000, determined by experience and geographic location.
