Captain - Gulfstream 550
Job Description
Jet Aviation is seeking an experienced Captain for Gulfstream 550 operations based in Knoxville, Tennessee. This role is integral to our Flight Services division, operating within the Technicians / Crew career level. The Captain will command an elite private aviation environment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of state-of-the-art aircraft and providing an exceptional experience for discerning clientele.
Responsibilities
- Command all assigned flights, making critical decisions to ensure safety and compliance with federal, local, and company regulations.
- Maintain a complete working knowledge of all aircraft systems to operate with precision, manage flight plans, and adapt to changing conditions.
- Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) as applicable.
- Conduct required passenger safety briefings or assign this duty to the second in command.
- Actively support open communication on safety issues, report hazards, and uphold Jet Aviation’s commitment to a secure environment.
- Record and report all aircraft discrepancies as they occur.
- Manage trip documentation, maintain aircraft manuals, and complete accurate trip paperwork according to company procedures.
- Represent Jet Aviation with professionalism and dedication, delivering exceptional service.
Requirements
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
- FAA First Class Medical.
- 3,500 hours total fixed-wing time.
- 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command.
- 1,500 hours Multi-Engine.
- 500 hours Turbo-Jet.
- 500 hours Turbine.
- 100 hours Night.
- 75 hours Simulated Instrument.
- High school diploma.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work a variable schedule to meet flight mission profiles.
- Willingness to travel extensively worldwide with no restrictions.
- Appropriate Aircraft type rating and currency.
