Position Summary

Jet Aviation is seeking an experienced Captain to command Gulfstream G550 aircraft in an elite private aviation environment. The Captain will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, leading the crew, and ensuring an exceptional experience for discerning clientele. This role involves navigating domestic and global routes, adapting to changing conditions, and upholding the highest standards of safety, service, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
  • FAA First Class Medical
  • 3,500 hours total fixed-wing flight time
  • 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command
  • 1,500 hours Multi-Engine flight time
  • 500 hours Turbo-Jet flight time
  • 500 hours Turbine flight time
  • 100 hours Night flight time
  • 75 hours Simulated Instrument flight time
  • Ability to work a variable schedule
  • Willingness to travel extensively worldwide without restrictions
  • High school diploma
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Appropriate Aircraft type rating and currency

Responsibilities

  • Command assigned flights, making critical decisions to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain a complete working knowledge of aircraft systems for precise operation.
  • Manage flight plans and adapt to changing conditions for a seamless travel experience.
  • Perform functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) as applicable.
  • Conduct required passenger safety briefings or assign to the second in command.
  • Actively support open communication on safety issues, report hazards, and uphold a secure environment.
  • Record and report aircraft discrepancies.
  • Manage trip documentation, aircraft manuals, and complete trip paperwork accurately.
  • Represent Jet Aviation with professionalism and dedication.

Physical Requirements

  • Regular use of hands, standing, walking, sitting.
  • Occasional climbing, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Frequent lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting.
  • Sharp vision across various ranges and depths.

Work Environment

  • Operate in various environments, including maintenance areas and customer spaces.
  • Experience dynamic aircraft arrivals and departures.
  • Potential exposure to high noise levels, vibrations, and fuel fumes.
  • Adapt to changing weather conditions and seasonal temperature extremes in hangar settings.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $275,000 to $285,000. This range is not a guaranteed offer. The final salary will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, geographic location, and other relevant considerations.
