Position Overview

Jet Aviation seeks an accomplished Captain to command aircraft within an elite private aviation setting, where precision, leadership, and discretion are paramount. The Captain will assume full accountability for the safe and efficient operation of advanced aircraft, guiding a professional crew and ensuring unparalleled experiences for a distinguished clientele. As Pilot in Command, the Captain will embody Jet Aviation's values of trust, honesty, alignment, and transparency, serving as a brand ambassador dedicated to delivering excellence to customers and colleagues. The role is entrusted with the ultimate responsibility for the safe and efficient execution of all flights, ensuring journeys are conducted with the utmost commitment to safety, security, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all assigned flights with unwavering confidence, making critical decisions to ensure safety and compliance with all applicable federal, local, and company regulations.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all aircraft systems to ensure precise operation, meticulous flight plan management, and agile adaptation to changing conditions for seamless travel.
  • Collaborate closely with the Second in Command, imparting knowledge and skills to foster their development for future leadership opportunities.
  • Function as the In-Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) as per the applicable security program standards. Conduct passenger safety briefings or delegate this responsibility to the Second in Command.
  • Actively promote open communication regarding safety issues, diligently report hazards, and uphold Jet Aviation's commitment to a secure operating environment.
  • Accurately record and report all aircraft discrepancies as they arise.
  • Manage all trip documentation, maintain aircraft manuals, and complete accurate trip paperwork in strict adherence to company procedures.
  • Represent Jet Aviation with the highest degree of professionalism and dedication, embodying the company's mission to deliver exceptional service.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP).
  • Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • A minimum of 3,500 hours of total fixed-wing flight time.
  • At least 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command.
  • A minimum of 1,500 hours of multi-engine flight time.
  • At least 500 hours of turbojet flight time.
  • A minimum of 500 hours of turbine flight time.
  • 100 hours of night flight time.
  • 75 hours of simulated instrument time.
  • Demonstrated ability to work a variable schedule to accommodate mission requirements.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively worldwide without restrictions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.

Work Environment

Candidates will engage in tasks requiring regular use of hands, standing, walking, and sitting, with occasional climbing, kneeling, or crouching. Frequent lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds, including overhead, will be necessary. Excellent vision across various ranges and depths is essential.

The role operates within diverse environments, ranging from heavy maintenance areas to sophisticated client spaces. Individuals will experience the dynamic atmosphere of aircraft operations, including potential exposure to high noise levels, vibrations, and fuel fumes. Adaptability to varying weather conditions and seasonal temperature extremes in hangar settings is required.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this Captain position is $290,000 to $310,000 annually. This range is not a guaranteed offer and the final salary will be determined by factors including candidate experience, geographic location, and other relevant considerations.
