Position Summary

Jet Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Captain to command state-of-the-art aircraft in an elite private aviation environment. Minimum Requirements

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • Certifications: Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and a valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Total Fixed-Wing Flight Time: A minimum of 3,500 hours.
  • Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: A minimum of 1,500 hours.
  • Multi-Engine Time: A minimum of 1,500 hours.
  • Turbojet Time: A minimum of 500 hours.
  • Turbine Time: A minimum of 500 hours.
  • Night Flight Time: A minimum of 100 hours.
  • Simulated Instrument Time: A minimum of 75 hours.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a variable schedule to accommodate mission requirements.
  • Global Travel: Willingness to travel extensively worldwide without restrictions.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • License: A valid driver's license.

Main Responsibilities

The Captain will be responsible for:

  • Flight Command: Assuming command of all assigned flights, making decisive judgments to ensure safety and adherence to all federal, local, and company regulations.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems to operate with precision, manage flight plans effectively, and adapt to evolving conditions to ensure a seamless travel experience.
  • Crew Mentorship: Collaborating closely with the Second in Command, imparting knowledge and skills to foster their development and readiness for future leadership opportunities.
  • Safety Advocacy: Performing duties as the In-Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) in accordance with applicable security programs. Conducting passenger safety briefings or delegating this responsibility. Actively promoting open communication regarding safety, reporting hazards, and reinforcing Jet Aviation's commitment to a secure operational environment. Documenting and reporting all aircraft discrepancies promptly.
  • Administrative Management: Overseeing trip documentation, maintaining aircraft manuals, and completing accurate trip paperwork in strict accordance with company procedures.
  • Brand Representation: Serving as a professional ambassador for Jet Aviation, embodying the company's mission of delivering exceptional service.

Work Environment

The role involves:

  • Physical Demands: Performing tasks that require regular use of hands, standing, walking, and sitting, with occasional climbing, kneeling, or crouching. Frequent lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting. Maintaining acute vision across various ranges and depths.
  • Operational Settings: Working in diverse environments ranging from heavy maintenance areas to sophisticated customer lounges. Experiencing the dynamic atmosphere of aircraft operations, including occasional exposure to high noise levels, vibrations, and fuel fumes. Adapting to varying weather conditions and seasonal temperature extremes within hangar facilities.
  • Global Engagement: Traveling internationally to provide exceptional service and represent Jet Aviation's commitment to global excellence.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $290,000 to $310,000. This range is indicative and not a guarantee of compensation. The final salary will be determined based on factors such as candidate experience, geographic location, and other relevant considerations.
