Position Overview

The Lead Captain will assume the ultimate responsibility for the safe, efficient, and professional execution of flight assignments aboard a Gulfstream G550. This pivotal role extends beyond flight operations to encompass leadership, crew mentorship, and the embodiment of Jet Aviation's core values. Minimum Requirements

Jet Aviation seeks aviation professionals prepared to lead and excel in a demanding operational landscape. Essential qualifications include:

  • Certifications: Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and a valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Flight Experience: A minimum of 5 years of aviation experience, including 3,500 hours of total fixed-wing time. This includes 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command, 1,500 hours multi-engine, 500 hours turbojet, 500 hours turbine, 100 hours night, and 75 hours of Simulated Instrument time.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Availability to work a variable schedule to accommodate diverse flight mission requirements.
  • Global Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel extensively worldwide without restrictions.
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Licensing: A valid driver's license.

Key duties and responsibilities for the Lead Captain include:

  • Flight Operations Leadership: Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all assigned flights, encompassing pre-flight and post-flight inspections, flight plan filing, and comprehensive analysis of weather and route conditions to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Crew Development: Mentoring and guiding crew members to foster professional growth, conducting performance evaluations, and coordinating schedules and training to maintain operational continuity.
  • Safety and Compliance: Championing a robust safety culture by adhering to best practices, delivering thorough passenger briefings, and promptly addressing any aircraft discrepancies in collaboration with maintenance teams.
  • Administrative Management: Overseeing trip documentation, maintaining aircraft manuals, assisting in crew recruitment processes, and representing Jet Aviation with the highest level of professionalism in all interactions.
  • Brand Representation: Serving as a key representative of Jet Aviation, demonstrating unwavering professionalism and dedication to the company's mission of delivering exceptional service.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will navigate a dynamic work environment, characterized by:

  • Physical Demands: The role requires regular standing, walking, and sitting, with occasional climbing, kneeling, or crouching. It involves frequent lifting and moving of objects up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting. Acute vision across various ranges and depths is essential.
