Position Summary
The Lead Captain is responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional execution of all flight assignments, serving as the Pilot in Command (PIC). Minimum Requirements
Jet Aviation seeks highly qualified aviation professionals prepared to lead and excel in a demanding environment. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and a valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Extensive Aviation Experience: A minimum of 5 years in aviation, with 3,500 total fixed-wing flight hours. This includes 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command, 1,500 hours multi-engine, 500 hours turbojet, 500 hours turbine, 100 hours night, and 75 hours of Simulated Instrument time.
- Schedule Flexibility: Demonstrated ability to work variable schedules in accordance with flight mission requirements.
- Global Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel extensively worldwide without restrictions.
- Educational Background: A high school diploma is required.
- Valid Driver's License

Main Responsibilities
The Lead Captain will be entrusted with the following key duties:
- Flight Operations Leadership: Oversee the safe and efficient operation of all assigned flights, including conducting thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections, filing flight plans, and analyzing weather and route conditions to make informed operational decisions.
- Crew Development: Mentor and guide flight crew members to foster professional growth, conduct regular performance reviews, and coordinate schedules and training to ensure seamless operations and adherence to standards.
- Safety and Compliance: Champion a robust safety culture by strictly adhering to best practices, conducting comprehensive passenger briefings, and promptly addressing any aircraft discrepancies in close collaboration with maintenance teams.
- Administrative Management: Manage all trip documentation, maintain up-to-date aircraft manuals, assist in crew hiring processes, and represent Jet Aviation with the utmost professionalism in all internal and external interactions.
- Brand Representation: Serve as a key ambassador for Jet Aviation, consistently demonstrating professionalism and a dedication to the company's mission of delivering exceptional service.
Work Environment
Candidates should be prepared for the following work conditions:
- Physical Demands: The role requires regular standing, walking, and sitting, with occasional climbing, kneeling, or crouching. Frequent lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting, may be necessary. Maintaining sharp vision across various ranges and depths is essential.
- Environmental Exposure: Work environments will vary, ranging from heavy maintenance areas to upscale client spaces.
