Aviation Pilot Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- The pilot is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft.
- Duties include meticulously determining optimal departure times and routes, and making critical decisions to cancel or alter flights based on prevailing weather or other operational conditions.
- The pilot ensures all flight operations are conducted in absolute compliance with federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must possess a valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with the appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- Candidates are required to obtain and consistently maintain a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- A minimum of 4000 hours of total fixed-wing flight time is essential.
- A minimum of 1500 hours of multi-engine land flight time is required.
- Furthermore, applicants must demonstrate a minimum of 2000 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience.
