Position Overview
Jet Aviation is seeking a highly professional, dynamic, and motivated Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) NG / MAX Captain for a permanent, onsite contract based in Kowloon City, Hong Kong. This pivotal role entrusts the Captain with absolute authority over the safe operation of the designated aircraft, serving as a paramount representative of the company throughout all duties. The Captain bears full responsibility for the safety and well-being of all crew members, passengers, and cargo from the moment of boarding until disembarkation at the flight's conclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures the paramount safety of all crew members, passengers, and cargo onboard the aircraft.
- Conducts thorough passenger briefings detailing emergency exits and the proper use of safety and emergency equipment.
- Strictly adheres to all operational procedures and checklists in accordance with the provisions of the Company's Operations Manual (FOM).
- Verifies that all crew members are correctly positioned at their stations prior to take-off, final approach, and landing.
- Prohibits any crew member from engaging in non-essential activities during take-off, initial climb, final approach, and landing, focusing solely on duties critical for safe aircraft operation.
- Preserves all flight data and cockpit voice recorder information, preventing disablement or erasure unless necessary for incident/accident investigation where data would otherwise be automatically overwritten.
- Optimizes the distribution of duties within the flight crew to maintain the highest standards of airmanship throughout the flight.
- Executes precise navigation and diligently observes all minimum altitude requirements.
- Operates the aircraft strictly within the limitations of all its systems, ensuring proper use and handling.
- Rigorously enforces the strict use of all prescribed checklists.
- Confirms the availability of sufficient usable fuel to safely proceed to an alternate airport, ensuring the final reserve fuel remains intact.
- Maintains continuous and close communication with the cabin crew to ensure compliance with all cabin safety requirements.
- Ensures the accurate and complete documentation of all flight and technical logs.
- Prepares and files written occurrence and accident reports as necessitated by circumstances.
- Maintains comprehensive familiarity with relevant aviation regulations, JBJH/JBJS operations manuals, and established aviation best practices pertinent to the role.
- Upholds an exemplary standard of discipline, conduct, and professional appearance as a distinguished representative of the company.
- Complies fully with all regulations stipulated in the Operations Manual (FOM) and the Air Navigation Order (ANO).
- Represents Jet Aviation as an integrated entity, both internally and externally, engaging with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the broader General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements
- Possession of a valid and relevant pilot license (FAA/EASA).
- Current type rating on Boeing 737 NG / 737 MAX aircraft.
- A minimum of 500 hours flight time on type.
- Proven experience in Air Operator Certificate (AOC) operations.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
