Key Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, which includes determining optimal departure times and flight routes.
- This role involves making critical decisions, including the cancellation of flights, based on prevailing weather conditions or other operational factors.
- A core duty is to ensure that all flight operations are conducted in strict adherence to federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Candidates must possess a valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with the appropriate aircraft type rating.
- Applicants are required to obtain and maintain a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- A minimum of 4,000 hours of total fixed-wing flight time is essential.
- Experience must include at least 1,500 hours of multi-engine land flight time.
- A minimum of 2,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) is also required.
