Position Summary:
Jet Aviation is seeking a qualified Captain for a FALCON 900EX aircraft based in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Reporting to the Lead Captain regarding company operating policies and procedures, the Pilot in Command holds ultimate responsibility for the safe and efficient execution of all assigned flights, prioritizing safety, security, and quality. The Captain exercises Pilot in Command authority and serves as the final authority for the safe conduct of each flight.
Key Responsibilities:
The Captain is responsible for:
- Operating the aircraft safely, determining departure times and routes, and cancelling flights based on weather or other necessary conditions.
- Ensuring complete compliance with all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Implementing necessary changes dictated by en route conditions to ensure flight continuation in accordance with company guidelines.
- Conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner consistent with industry and company standards.
- Accurately completing all required trip paperwork.
- Ensuring thorough communication and understanding with the Second in Command regarding all flight aspects.
- Recording and reporting all aircraft discrepancies on the discrepancy log, notifying maintenance immediately, and determining deferral or repair needs using the approved MEL as directed.
- Confirming the flight crew reports for duty in proper attire and is physically and mentally fit.
- Maintaining a comprehensive working knowledge of all authorized aircraft systems, including emergency procedures.
- Securing the aircraft after each flight, arranging hangar storage as deemed necessary or instructed.
- Obtaining the most current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMS from authorized sources.
- Filing or ensuring the filing of flight plans with the appropriate air traffic control facility.
- Analyzing area, en route, and terminal charts for destination and alternate airports.
- Performing the functions of the Inflight Security Coordinator (ISC) under applicable security programs.
- Conducting or assigning passenger safety briefings.
- Sharing knowledge and skills with the Second in Command to prepare them for assuming PIC duties in emergencies or for upgrade.
- Completing and submitting the leg manifest to operations control before departure.
- Completing and submitting the End of Day (EOD) report upon completion of each flight day.
- Actively supporting the open sharing of safety information and reporting all safety hazards and concerns.
- Immediately reporting any hazardous action, conduct, or event to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Delegating duties as necessary, while retaining overall responsibility.
- Performing other duties as required.
- Representing Jet Aviation as a unified company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATPL) with the appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4000 hours Total Fixed Wing flight time.
- 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land flight time.
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command flight time.
- 1500 hours Turbojet flight time.
- 1500 Turbine flight time.
- 100 hours Night flight time.
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument flight time.
- Minimum of 5 years of aviation experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules.
- Willingness and ability to travel worldwide extensively, without any restrictions.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Working Environment:
The role operates in both a heavy maintenance environment and upscale customer areas. The noise level is typically moderate but can be high during aircraft arrivals/departures. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration and occasionally to fuel fumes. The position requires working in all types of weather conditions. Hangar environments may experience extreme seasonal temperatures.
Physical Demands:
Performing the essential functions of this role requires the use of hands and fingers for handling, feeling, or reaching. Frequent standing, walking, or sitting is required. Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be necessary. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds above their heads. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
