Gulfstream 450/600 Captain
Jet Aviation, a global leader in aviation services since 1967, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Captain to pilot Gulfstream 450/600 aircraft. This position is based in Santa Ana, California, and reports to the Lead Captain. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of flights, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of safety, security, and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Exercising pilot-in-command authority on all assigned flights, serving as the final authority for the safe conduct of the flight.
- Operating the aircraft safely, determining departure times and routes, and canceling flights as necessary based on weather or other conditions.
- Ensuring all flights are conducted in full compliance with federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Instituting necessary changes based on en route conditions to maintain flight safety and adherence to company standards.
- Conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner, aligning with industry and company standards.
- Accurately completing all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
- Ensuring a thorough understanding of all flight aspects with the second in command.
- Recording aircraft discrepancies and reporting them promptly to the Director of Maintenance.
- Verifying that the flight crew is properly attired and mentally and physically fit for duty.
- Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of all aircraft systems, including emergency procedures.
- Securing the aircraft after each flight, including arranging hangar storage as needed.
- Obtaining and analyzing current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMs.
- Filing flight plans with the FAA or ICAO.
- Analyzing area, en route, and terminal charts for airports of intended landing and alternates.
- Performing the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC).
- Conducting passenger safety briefings.
- Imparting knowledge and skills to the second in command to prepare them for Pilot in Command duties.
- Completing and submitting leg manifests and End of Day (EOD) reports.
- Actively supporting the open sharing of information on safety issues and reporting all safety hazards and concerns.
- Immediately reporting any hazardous action, conduct, or event to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Representing Jet Aviation with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4000 hours total fixed-wing flight time.
- 1500 hours multi-engine land flight time.
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command flight time.
- 1500 hours turbojet flight time.
- 1500 hours turbine flight time.
- 100 hours night flight time.
- 75 hours actual or simulated instrument flight time.
- 5 years of aviation experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules.
- Willingness and ability to travel worldwide extensively without restrictions.
- Valid driver’s license.
