Gulfstream 600 Captain
Jet Aviation seeks a qualified and experienced Captain to operate a Gulfstream 600 based in Hayden, Colorado. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of flight assignments, with a strong emphasis on safety, security, and quality. The Captain reports to the Lead Captain and exercises pilot-in-command authority for all assigned flights, serving as the final authority for the safe operation of the aircraft.
Location: Hayden, CO
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the aircraft, determine departure times and routes, and make decisions regarding flight cancellation due to weather or other conditions.
- Ensure strict compliance with all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Institute necessary changes based on en route conditions, ensuring flights adhere to company policies and rules.
- Conduct flights in a safe and prudent manner, adhering to industry and company standards.
- Accurately complete all trip paperwork according to current procedures.
- Ensure thorough understanding with the Second in Command regarding all aspects of the flight.
- Record all aircraft discrepancies in the aircraft discrepancy log and report them immediately to the Director of Maintenance or designee.
- Determine flight crew readiness, ensuring proper attire and mental and physical fitness for duty.
- Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of all aircraft systems and emergency procedures.
- Secure the aircraft after each flight, arranging hangar storage as needed or instructed.
- Obtain current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMS from authorized agencies.
- File flight plans with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility.
- Analyze area, enroute, and terminal charts for the airport of intended landing and alternates.
- Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC).
- Conduct passenger safety briefings or assign the duty to the Second in Command.
- Impart knowledge and skills to the Second in Command, preparing them for Pilot in Command duties.
- Complete and send the leg manifest to operations control before each departure.
- Complete and send the End of Day (EOD) report to operations control upon completion of each flight day.
- Actively support the open sharing of information on all safety issues and report all safety hazards and concerns.
- Report any hazardous action, conduct, or event immediately to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Delegate duties, while retaining responsibility for their execution.
- Represent Jet Aviation internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
- Other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4000 hours Total Fixed Wing time.
- 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land time.
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command time.
- 1500 hours Turbojet time.
- 1500 hours Turbine time.
- 100 hours Night time.
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument time.
- Five years of aviation experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules.
- Willingness and ability to travel worldwide extensively without restrictions.
- Valid driver’s license.
