Captain - Gulfstream 450
Jet Aviation, a global leader in aviation services since 1967, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Captain for a Gulfstream 450 based in Scottsdale, AZ. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, ensuring compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures. He will exercise Pilot in Command authority on all assigned flights and serve as the final authority for the flight's safe conduct.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the aircraft, determining departure times and routes, and making flight cancellation decisions based on weather or other conditions.
- Ensure complete compliance with all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Adapt to en route conditions while adhering to company policies, procedures, and rules.
- Conduct flights in a safe and prudent manner, meeting industry and company standards.
- Accurately complete all trip paperwork according to current procedures.
- Ensure a thorough understanding with the Second in Command regarding all flight aspects.
- Record all aircraft discrepancies in the aircraft discrepancy log and promptly report them to the Director of Maintenance.
- Ascertain that the flight crew reports for duty in proper attire and is mentally and physically fit.
- Maintain a complete working knowledge of all aircraft systems, including emergency systems and procedures.
- Secure the aircraft after each flight, arranging hangar storage as needed.
- Obtain current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMS.
- File flight plans with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility.
- Analyze area, enroute, and terminal charts for the airport of intended landing and alternates.
- Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) as applicable.
- Conduct required passenger safety briefings.
- Impart knowledge and skills to the Second in Command to prepare them for Pilot in Command duties.
- Complete and send the leg manifest to operations control before each departure.
- Complete and send the End of Day (EOD) report to operations control upon flight day completion.
- Actively support the open sharing of information on all safety issues and report all safety hazards and concerns.
- Report any hazardous action, conduct, or event to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety immediately.
- Represent Jet Aviation internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
- Delegate duties as necessary, but retain responsibility for their execution.
- Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- FAA First Class Medical certificate.
- 4000 hours total fixed-wing flight time.
- 1500 hours multi-engine land flight time.
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command flight time.
- 1500 hours turbojet flight time.
- 1500 hours turbine flight time.
- 100 hours night flight time.
- 75 hours actual or simulated instrument flight time.
- 5 years of aviation experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules.
- Willingness and ability to travel worldwide extensively without restrictions.
- Valid driver's license.

Physical Demands:
The role involves using hands and fingers, standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds above their heads. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
Work Environment:
The work environment includes both a heavy maintenance environment and upscale customer areas. The noise level is typically moderate, with occasional high volume. The employee may be exposed to vibration and fuel fumes. Willingness to work in all types of weather conditions is required. The hangar environment may experience extreme temperatures during certain seasons.
