The successful candidate will serve as Pilot in Command for a Gulfstream 500 aircraft, reporting to the Lead Captain.
Responsibilities:
- Safe and efficient operation of the Gulfstream 500, including flight planning, departure/arrival management, and flight cancellations as necessitated by weather or operational considerations.
- Strict adherence to all applicable federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures. Proactive adaptation to en-route conditions to ensure safe and compliant flight operations.
- Maintenance of a safe and prudent flight operation, consistent with industry best practices and company standards.
- Meticulous completion of all required flight documentation.
- Thorough briefing and communication with the First Officer on all flight-related aspects.
- Prompt reporting and documentation of aircraft discrepancies, collaborating with maintenance personnel as required to address identified issues.
- Assessment of flight crew fitness and adherence to company standards for professional attire.
- Comprehensive understanding of all aircraft systems, including emergency procedures.
- Securing the aircraft post-flight, including arranging hangar storage as needed.
- Acquisition of current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMs from authorized sources.
- Preparation and submission of flight plans.
- Thorough analysis of flight charts.
- Fulfillment of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Flight Security Coordinator (FSC) responsibilities.
- Conducting or assigning passenger safety briefings.
- Mentoring and training the First Officer to prepare for Pilot in Command duties.
- Accurate and timely submission of leg manifests and end-of-day (EOD) reports.
- Active participation in safety reporting and hazard communication.
- Immediate reporting of safety concerns or incidents to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Effective representation of Jet Aviation with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and within the General Dynamics network.
Qualifications:
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with Gulfstream 500 Type Rating.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
