Captain - Challenger 605
Jet Aviation is seeking a qualified and experienced Captain for a Challenger 605, based in Rochester, NY. The Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of flight assignments, with an unwavering emphasis on safety, security, and quality. He or she exercises Pilot-in-Command authority on all assigned flights and serves as the final authority for the safe operation of the aircraft.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the aircraft, determine departure times and routes, and cancel flights based on weather or other conditions.
- Ensure flight operations are conducted in full compliance with all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Institute necessary changes based on en-route conditions, adhering to company policies, procedures, and rules.
- Conduct flights in a safe and prudent manner, aligned with industry and company standards.
- Accurately complete all trip paperwork per current procedures.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of all flight aspects with the Second-in-Command.
- Record aircraft discrepancies on the log and promptly report them to the Director of Maintenance.
- Ascertain that the flight crew reports for duty in proper attire and is mentally and physically fit.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all aircraft systems, including emergency systems and procedures.
- Secure the aircraft after each flight, arranging hangar storage as needed.
- Obtain current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMS.
- File flight plans with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility.
- Analyze area, en-route, and terminal charts.
- Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC).
- Conduct passenger safety briefings.
- Impart knowledge and skills to the Second-in-Command.
- Complete and submit leg manifests and End of Day (EOD) reports to operations control.
- Actively support the open sharing of safety information and report all safety hazards and concerns.
- Immediately report any hazardous actions, conduct, or events to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Represent Jet Aviation internally and externally.
- Other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4000 hours total fixed-wing flight time.
- 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land flight time.
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command flight time.
- 1500 hours Turbojet flight time.
- 1500 Turbine time.
- 100 hours Night flight time.
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument flight time.
- 5 years of aviation experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules.
- Willingness and ability to travel worldwide extensively without restrictions.
- Valid driver’s license.
